The more I think about it, I might have to take a more active part in this. I have some cute Supergirl panties among my collection. I bet if I put those on and wiggle a little in Dan’s face I could get my very own “super” spanking. Heeheee!
In the comments, Ben requested help finding a carpet beater. I’m happy to help a fello spanko whenever I can so I found a couple of links for y’all.
We own a nice rattan one that Dan ordered from here. What I found interesting was that although they listed all the functional uses of this carpet beater, I have the feeling the people who sell them know full well what else they can be used for. After its list of uses they tell us, “They are also great fun.” I really doubt they were referring to beating carpets.
Dan gave me mine on Valentine’s Day last year and was so sweet about it, too. The way he wrapped it, it looked like a big heart on a stick. We haven’t played with it much since last summer and that was many, many spankings ago so I can’t remember exactly what it felt like. Hmmm may have to go dust it off and give it another try.
What I’d really like is it’s leather cousin, Josephine.

What can I say? I *like* my leather toys!
Things are quiet here but very cozy. Since I’m not quite up to playing yet, we’re taking it easy. I’m getting in lots of reading and snuggling time which is great. I’m also looking through music so I can burn some cds. All the low key stuff I never have time to do.
Besides a swat here and there, not much spanking though…darn it! But if nothing else, I can read about it. One of my friends, Brooke Ray, started her own blog, Trinkets and Treasures and has posted some of her spanking stories there. I think I’ll lose myself in her writing while I listen to some of my favorite music. It sounds relaxing but if I know Brooke, those stories will just give me naughty ideas for what to do when I’m fully recuperated. *grin*
We recently received this wonderful new toy from John at Leather Thorn Paddles.
It’s called a Rat Tail. Doesn’t it look yummy? It’s really fun because it delivers a delicious lasting sting when used moderately. Which is all we’ve done so far. Dan’s been promising to use it a little harder whenever we get the chance and I’m really looking forward to that.
We also got a Brat Loop which is as intense as Patty warned about. Man! That’s one serious toy if used with any intensity. Which Dan was happy to do at the first opportunity. He said he just wanted to see what kind of mark it would leave. Well, it left two rounded welty lines on my bottom that were tender for an entire day. Ouchie!
I wish we could hurry up and have a long session with these toys, but unluckily that’ll have to wait a little while. I’ve been under the weather which has left me feeling low energy. It’s getting better every day though so I ought to be back in action very soon.
Needless to say, Dan’s very pleased with both toys and like me, can’t wait for an opportunity to really make use of them. I can already tell I’m going to have a love/hate relationship with that loop. As for the Rat Tail, I think that may become one of my new favorite toys. I’ve always been a sucker for leather and John makes some of the best I’ve ever played with. We’re gonna have fun with these, I just know it!

1. Total number of books I’ve owned.
I have no idea because until a few years ago, I never got rid of my books. I still have a book of fairy tales that someone gave me as a small child. I’m hoping the number in storage is under a thousand but over the years the number of books I’ve owned has to be in the thousands.
2. The last book I bought.
“Blow Fly” by Patricia Cornwell. I’m about to start reading it.

“The Last Precinct” by Patricia Cornwell. See a pattern here?
4. 5 books that mean a lot to me.
“To Kill A Mockingbird” by Harper Lee was one of those books I read as a teenager and it stuck with me for years. It’s one of the first books I ever read that really made me think about how life isn’t always fair. It wasn’t sugar coated like most of the books I’d read before that.
“Sense and Sensibililty” by Jane Austen, or just about any other of her books really. This is one of my favorite books and I feel the need to reread it, yet again.
“The Stand” by Stephen King and “1984” by George Orwell because they really made me think about what could happen and some of the scenes have stayed with me all this time.
“The Bible” particularly the women’s NIV. It’s more than just a book to me and I’ve relied on it since I was a child. It’s a good thing it still means so much to me since my relationship with organized religion is more than just a little rocky.

Has anyone not gotten tagged yet? I came late into this game so I think I’ll cheat and just put this on Spanking Den and see if I get any takers. Yeah, I know I could tag Dan but he’d just spank me with five of this favorite books and leave it at that. Silly man!

It seems that there are quite a few of us whose kitchen utensils do double duty as spanking toys. Dan’s cooked my bottom several times with different ones but I can’t think of a one I’ve actually cooked with.
I’ve never even stirred anything with the big wooden spoon or that evil spatula. There’s also a couple of other wooden utensils that we use as spanking toys that have never touched food. I don’t know why but I can’t imagine trying to cook with something that’s been used to spank my bottom.
It would seem…I don’t know…almost naughty. The only time I ever handle our spanking toys is to admire them so it would seem strange to use one. Even if it is only for cooking.
I’m trying to picture it now. Me in the kitchen handling the same object that has set my bottom on fire numerous times. I don’t know if I could do it.
I’m sure I’d start thinking of the spankings I’d received with it, remembering the burn and tingle, thinking of how good spankings are with Dan, and the next thing you know, I’ve gone and burned dinner. And then the next thing I know I’m getting spanked for daydreaming and endangering myself. Geez! I can’t win!
Dan would be happy though. He really likes that evil spatula.
There really should be a place for evil toys to go when they’ve out lived their usefulness. Dan has this really horrific rubber spatula that I’d like to have melted down and made into something completely harmless if nothing else.
It’s not your average cooking utensil either. He bought it at a gourmet cooking store so it’s a professional quality tool. When Dan applies that thing to my bottom, it not only stings like a thousand bees, it leaves behind a terrible burn – and it’s all concentrated in an area about four inches around.
The other day, Dan surprised me by sneaking it into the lineup during a quickie. As soon as that thing landed on my bottom, I knew exactly which toy he was using. I immediately began yelping and kicking as I tried to make a getaway. Too bad that only made him remember how much he missed the awful thing. Dan *likes* toys that get my attention quickly.
The good thing is he has pity on me where that thing is concerned. He knows it’s evil and tries to dole it out in small doses. Which is wonderful and thoughtful and awfully generous and loving of him. (Yes, I know I’m laying it on thick, but you haven’t met that evil spatula.)
The worst thing about my present situatin is that I thought I was safe because he misplaced it for quite awhile and I’d hoped he’d forgotten about it. I darn sure wasn’t going to bring it up. But then he stumbled across it and could barely contain his glee.
I didn’t even bother trying to hide my horror at seeing that nasty thing again. Heck, I barely managed not to jump up and try to wrestle him for it. That only reason I managed to hold back was because my bottom was already trying to back away and I had to go with it.
I’ve been plotting the evil one’s demise but part of me (my bottom) is afraid of what Dan will replace it with. I doubt there’s anything worse but I’m not sure I’m ready to take that chance yet.
I’m even considering trying to convert it into a true cooking utensil but that would mean I’d actually have to go into the kitchen and seriously cook something. I’m not sure I’m ready to go that far just yet. I wonder, does making Rice Krispie treats count as real cooking?
Tomorrow I plan to blog about some real spanking stuff but for now I couldn’t resist posting this picture of the candy bra.

Don’t they look yummy? I bet if I walked in wearing that and shook my bottom at Dan, I could count on getting a spanking real quick. Of course, that pretty much goes for anytime I shake my bottom at him. Now he even has a saying to go with that impulse since he’s adopted HeadTeddy’s saying about “what gets wiggled gets whacked.” The candy might add a little flavor to that. *wink*
I really can’t help but laugh about this stuff though. I know, I’ll never grow up at this rate. Not that I was planning to! LOL
