I’ve Been Tagged!
By Patty, no less. These questions have to do with books and not spanking so don’t get too excited just yet. I’ll tackle that subject later.
1. Total number of books I’ve owned.
I have no idea because until a few years ago, I never got rid of my books. I still have a book of fairy tales that someone gave me as a small child. I’m hoping the number in storage is under a thousand but over the years the number of books I’ve owned has to be in the thousands.
2. The last book I bought.
“Blow Fly” by Patricia Cornwell. I’m about to start reading it.
3. The last book I read.
“The Last Precinct” by Patricia Cornwell. See a pattern here?
4. 5 books that mean a lot to me.
“To Kill A Mockingbird” by Harper Lee was one of those books I read as a teenager and it stuck with me for years. It’s one of the first books I ever read that really made me think about how life isn’t always fair. It wasn’t sugar coated like most of the books I’d read before that.
“Sense and Sensibililty” by Jane Austen, or just about any other of her books really. This is one of my favorite books and I feel the need to reread it, yet again.
“The Stand” by Stephen King and “1984” by George Orwell because they really made me think about what could happen and some of the scenes have stayed with me all this time.
“The Bible” particularly the women’s NIV. It’s more than just a book to me and I’ve relied on it since I was a child. It’s a good thing it still means so much to me since my relationship with organized religion is more than just a little rocky.
5. Tag five people and request they fill this out on their journal.
Has anyone not gotten tagged yet? I came late into this game so I think I’ll cheat and just put this on Spanking Den and see if I get any takers. Yeah, I know I could tag Dan but he’d just spank me with five of this favorite books and leave it at that. Silly man!
Hey, I did manage to sneak spanking into this post. Ha!
Thanks Patty and I hope you’re feeling better!
darn! I know I made a comment here last night…
It went something like… Thanks for playing along Bethie. 🙂 count on you to get spankin into a post about books… & then there was something about books with the most memorable spanking reference in it… sigh… don’t quite remember exactly what I said… but I did visit & thank you for posting…
Oh yeah & I asked if you didn’t agree if Kay Scarpetta couldn’t really use a good hard spanking… 🙂
LOL I found it! It’s in the next thread’s comments. Ummmmm how much medication are you on, Patty?
I agree with you Kay definitely needs a spanking. She could do with a good spanking man actually. But then I think that about most women. It just makes life so much easier.
My books went through so many cullings, moves, and donations over the years that I don’t think I have any left from when I was a child. Well, maybe ONE. One of my first gifts to Hiromi was a rare book from her childhood, very well-received.
lotsa good drugs Bethie. hehehehe. I’m tapering off em though. they make my hands tremble.
