Wishful Hearing
As Dan and I were on our way to do some shopping, he began to remind me to behave myself, which is usual for that type of outing. I was trying to listen to him and drive at the same time when I heard something that made my ears perk right up. I heard him say there would be a prize. A prize?
Needless to say, I became extremely excited and was practically bouncing up and down in my seat as I began to quiz him about said prize. Unluckily it was a sad case of wishful thinking. It seems he actually said there would be a “price” not a “prize” for my behavior.
Darn it! I thought I was going to get a prize. I’m still trying to convince him that the reward system beats the punishment one but he doesn’t agree. *sigh*
I’m still working on him though. Everytime he says “price”, I act excited and ask hopefully, “Prize? Did you say prize?” I’ll wear him down…maybe. 😉
I *gave* you prizes today…you didn’t like them?
Well, of course! *giggle*
Hehehe! You know, there’s a price for distracting the spanko driver too… a dangerous driving situation. If you get in trouble for speeding or running red lights or anything, maybe you should suggest his pronunciation of “price” is to blame. LOL, I am such a brat sometimes!
LOL Yes, Sandy, you’re a brat! That’s why I like you. As for trying to blame him for any driving mistakes, it’d never work. In fact, I’d probably get an extra spanking for even suggesting it! 😉
